Ahmed Faiyaz is a management consultant by profession and has worked for the Health Authority of the Government of Dubai in a Strategic Planning and Execution role. He is also the Managing Director of Grey Oak Publishers and has written two novels – Love, Life and All That Jazz and Another Chance. He has also contributed stories and edited stories in Urban Shots (edited along with Paritosh Uttam) and Down The Road (along with Rohini Kejriwal).
Ahmed Faiyaz was raised in Bangalore. He grew up reading books of all genres - Indian fiction to philosophy and mythology. He loves reading Charles Dickens, Lloyd James, Haruki Murakami, Oscar Wilde and Roald Dahl. He also enjoys reading short stories by Ruskin Bond, Premchand and RK Narayan. Besides this he is an avid moviegoer and enjoys watching old and new Hindi, English films along with world cinema. Besides, he loves travelling and seeing new places, especially the ones with a rich culture and history.
Ahmed began writing and editing on a fortnightly business journal for management students called Forthright.
Ahmed is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and began his career with KPMG in Bangalore before he quit his job to pursue an MBA degree.
